The Grand Theatre... National Theatre of Variety is widely regarded as Frank Matcham’s masterpiece theatre, and has been wowing audiences with it’s stunning ornate gilt plasterwork and delicate ceiling paintings since 1894. The main auditorium welcomes many touring companies throughout the year with musicals direct from the West End and Broadway, classical ballet, drama, opera and eminent local operatic and drama societies.
